IF Magazine, one of Australia's leading screen-industry publications, has featured Pixel Storm Media in an article titled "Storm Warning: Studio Tools, Indie Prices", published on 29 June 2026.
The piece looks at how the Storm suite brings professional post-production tools to independent filmmakers at accessible prices. It covers DCP mastering, subtitling, on-set data and more, all built on a proprietary JPEG 2000 codec for real-time 4K playback on macOS, with Windows on the way.
On choosing perpetual licences over subscriptions, founder Johan Earl told IF: "A perpetual license means they own their tools, they're not renting them."
